Security

Users of the electronic conveyance systems (“Systems”) developed by OneMove Online Systems Inc. ("OneMove”) can have full confidence their real estate transaction business can be conducted safely online, protected by the security of industry leading 128 bit encryption.

Security

When users log on to the Systems, they are required to provide a user ID and password. This allows access through a highly secure SSL connection to their web browser. All information is encrypted (scrambled) so that no one else can read the information being sent back and forth. When you use the Systems, there are a couple of ways to tell that your connection is secure. The first is in the URL or location of the Web site. You will notice that it starts with https://. The "s" means that you are working with a secure server. Also, once you sign on to the Systems, a closed lock is displayed on your browser window, indicating that the connection is secure.

Server Location

The Systems servers are housed in a physically secure co-location site which has 24 hour security. Access is via calling ahead to make an appointment with the security staff, presenting a magnetic photograph identity card (issued to specific OneMove employees only), passing the magnetic card through a reader and finally presenting a pre-determined finger for a biometric reader to allow access to the server room. Unlawful entry is virtually impossible.

There are also dual power supplies to the servers as well as a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) back up plus diesel generated power should the others fail. In addition, the server room is an environmentally clean room, free of dust and other contaminants and has temperature sensing computers to maintain constant temperature.

Hacking

Social Hacking is when an employee uses a colleague's password to get into their files. This security breech is the responsibility of the law/notary office. It is an inconvenience and not detrimental as the culprit can only change data on a file by file basis and then only manually. The user would have to give out their user ID and password in order for this type of hacking to occur.

Denial of service is where a malicious party tries to hit the Systems servers often with the intention of grinding it to a halt. The traffic to the Systems servers is monitored 24 hours a day by co-location personnel and OneMove network administrative staff. The Systems is behind hardware firewalls that are kept current with the latest updates.

Malicious Hacking is where a party wants to destroy the data. Any access to the Systems database is over a secure internet link (https) via OneMove internal staff only. Passwords are changed on a regular basis to ensure no unauthorized access.

Backup

Numerous backup procedures are in place to ensure OneMove provides complete, uninterrupted access whenever business demands it. Further backup protection is continually implemented to increase reliability.
