In April of 2004 the BC Land Title and Survey Authority (“LTSA”) introduced its Electronic Filing System (“EFS”) enabling lawyers and notaries to electronically submit land title documents for registration to the Land Title Office. Concurrently with the introduction of EFS, OneMove Technologies Inc. (“OneMove”) introduced its unique web-based collaborative platform, econveyance, to the BC market and had seen consistent growth and adoption of the software ever since. Although EFS is the single most significant driver for adoption of econveyance by new users in BC, the ability to create and submit documents electronically is only one of many features of the software. Econveyance also facilitates communication between all participants in a real estate transaction with everyone benefiting from sharing data in the unique collaborative world of econveyance.
The result of this has been not only the creation of the fastest growing community of conveyancing professionals in British Columbia, but also positions OneMove as the market leader in providing conveyancing solutions.
In the fall of 2010, law firms in Alberta will be able to join the largest and fastest growing network of conveyancing professionals in Western Canada. The Alberta edition of econveyance is tailored to the specific needs of the Alberta conveyancing community and also allows users to benefit from the extensive features available in econveyance including the collaboration between all parties.
OneMove has always supported the electronic submission of documents and the paperless process. The Alberta Land Titles Office has indicated they will be moving to electronic filing in the near future and we will support this initiative and ensure an easy transition for econveyance members.
